I just finished putting new fuel injectors/grommets on my '83 308 and a new K&N air filter. The car wasn't running as smooth as it should have been. Should be simple, huh? Well, something is out of kilter as I get occational and slight, quiet backfire when the car is cold and I tap the gas. It also seems to be missing. It sounds/feels like the timing is a smidge out (though I know I can't set it) When Normal temp is reached, it still seems to miss, consquently poor performance. it hesitates, wants to go, and sometimes surges. I've checked old posts and 1) Checked the plugs...no fouling... a little black but no alarms 2) checked/reseated plug extenders...no problems 3) checked wires with a timing light...can't see any idiosyncracies 4) Coils wires on the light seem fine too 5) cleaned all contacts on coils 6) Coils, wires, rotors are less than 1 year old 7) can't see anything I may have inadvertently disconnected. What else can I check? Thanks in advance, ClydeM
