Welded for sure. The rear quarters are somewhat a structural member, as opposed to the front fenders, which bolt on. Heavy hits require a professional to fix properly. Though the big advantage is Ferrari uses comparably "soft" steel which is easier to pull straight, do the metal working, than say a Japanese car. Less likely to work harden and make repair more difficult. Pulls can go a bit faster. |

Thanks, Eric - I've been trying to find out what is involved in repairing one of these "sheet metal damage" salvage 355's that I see for sale from time to time. |

The B's and GTS's are different from the spider's, I believe. Then on the B's and GTS's, the quarter panels are welded to the roofline "sail" panels and filler is used to smooth the connecting line/seam. From what I remember, and I know from experience, I feel pretty confident that this is how it is. Not sure on the spiders. |

How do the rear quarter panels of the F355 attach to the rest of the body? Are they welded, bonded, bolted...? Also, do the quarter panels themselves differ between the Spider and the hardtop? What about the installation method? thanks |
