Jason, there is another company from Japan called FET Catz which makes HID kits and are used OEM in some Japanese cars and will have a high and low beam pattern by the used of a built in motor solenoid. I have used Bellof on my last car and finally a ballast blew out after 3 years but I found a brighter HID system that puts out 8000k and it's very bright, in fact brighter than any OEM HID system and can be purchased for about half the price of Bellof. I sell all makes of HID systems and one of the reasons of why some come up with problems is improper wiring, plug and play install is not the correct way to do it as most kits were told to be installed. You need to intall a relay with an anti spike resistor between the 85 & 86 poles and power from the battery to the input of the ballast for reliability. On some cars there has been problems with current draw and wiring resistance between the rt & left headlight so that is why you need to use "fresh" power.

The Bellhof system draws less power than the original halogen lights, so this shouldn't be an issue for you.....Also the system is a full HID in that it comes with Ballast etc...

BJ: Actually, "HID" is not just equivalent to Xenon. It means "High Intensity Discharge", which includes more than just a replacement Xenon bulb... it has to have separate ballast hardware. Xenon bulbs alone are around 4800K (bright white) without a blue coating on the bulb, and true HID generally 5600K-5800K light spectrum (like true daylight).

Go to www.cibie.net. Call the number listed and talk to Gunther. He is the expert on lighting!

About 10 years ago I had an old corvette that I put 747 landing lights in for the high beams, it used to light up both sides of the road for a least 1/2 mile. They drew so much power I had to use an industrial grade relay. I later sold the car during the day,and never told him about the lights. I wish I could of been there the first time the new owner drove it at night and switched on high beams :-) Anyhow to my point, make sure if you use more powerful lights the electrical system can handle it.

Bill,
My 360 didn't come with HID, and I absolutely wanted them on the car....I spent a lot of time researching various options, and I suggest you try
www.hitechimportlighting.com
The system you want is Bellhof (which sounds German, but they are actually Japanese)...The problem I found was that a lot of the kits look like they were made in someones garage. The Bellhof system is beautifully engineered....especially regarding the way the bulb is positioned within the headlamp housing (which is vital).
I've had the system 2.5 years, and zero problems.
I believe it was their Canadian distributor that I dealt with (I think his name was Daniel) He was a lighting expert, and should be able to answer any question you have.
