Sorry - From your descriptions of bumpers, etc., I thought you were trying to get your window to go further *down*. Glad to hear the problem was the opposite and that you fixed it. |

TA DAAAAAAAA!!! My window now goes all the way up!!! I'd like to thank all the little people that made this possible....... It's weird, I adjusted the glass a little bit...it wouldn't move much....so it still didn't go up all the way, but then I greased the rails and disconnected the "plug type" connecter, one of the pins was slightly bent. I straightened it out, sprayed the connecters with WD 40, plugged it back and the window went up a full 1/2 inch more, to teh fully closed position......YES, I am a genius...lol..... The red hose looks like it might have been a window cable that wasn't used....I have a red window "wire filled" cable, then there is this one, it's wierd. I'm thinking when the car was built maybe they just put one in that was cut to the wrong length and then just left it....anyway it's a piece of "rubber hose" type material, red in color, goes up near the side view mirror, then doesn't connect to anything, just hangs there. It runs the length of the door and stops near the lock....again doesn't connect to anything, just hangs there.........I'm just gonna let it be....my window now works so I'm gonna count my blessings. Thanks guys........I've learned more in the past 3 weeks than I have in 5 years.... |

The red hose is the window cable sleeve. Don't remove, kink or bend it. With the window in a position where you can see the bottom attachment bolts (about 1/2-3/4 down) loosen the attaching bolts and adjust upwards..then recheck to see if that's enough . You'll have to look at everything carefully, something is installed wrong, upside down, etc., hard to say exactly without looking at it. |

From your description, I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish. But if you're worried about the window not going all the way down,..... Forget it. It's just the way it is. |

I got the door panel off, not toooooo bad. I checked the bolts where the window fastens to the bracket, they are all the way up.....I can adjust the window lower, but it is at it's highest setting......and it still doesn't close all the way.....there appears to be a couple rubber "bumper pads" on each end of the window, but i've moved them up and down, with no help, even with the window all the way up, I can stick my finger between the top of the interior door and the rubber stop, so I know the stop isn't whats stopping the window.... Am I making sense? Here's a wierd thing....inside the door, there is what appears to be a red hose, it appears to be factory, a hollow red hose, not connected to anything, but it runs the length of the door, it is insulated in spots, and "Snakes" through the alligator type clips any ideas what this is? It doesn't appear to be doing anything or connected to anything.............any ideas at all?????? Thanks everyone |
