I told this to a mechanic and he said it probably not only ported and polished, but bored the cylinders as well! |

Very funny. I have actually wittnessed a guy dump boraxo into an engine that was burning a lot of oil to "reseat" the rings. It did seem better the couple times he started it to show it to prostective buyers. |
