The reverse fill seems to be a bit better, thanks for the tips and the knowledge that I am not alone...glad I don't live in a state where self-serve fillups are not allowed (like Oregon) I think I would have trouble explaining this to folks! - JMG |

None of the 6 Ferraris I have had (except a 77 308 which had a wide mouth pre unleaded opening) would take gas at full speed. Don't sweat it. Dave |

I've found that it works best on my 308 to hold the handle exactly upside down from the normal grip. Doesn't spit at me as much and will get nearly full. |

I have the same problem but I find that if I angle the handle up to the right so that the nozzle is more parallel then the pump does not shut off until the tank is really full. |

fact of life - the necks are too small combined with the lastest pump technolgy as kurt mentioned- just have to be patient |

There is an earlier thread about this - my personal experience (328) is that the pump "pistol" is the crook in combination with the filler neck design on these cars. The "pistols" are often very sensitive to backpressure in the filler tube and shuts off easily. I have now tried several different places where I live, even the different gas dispensers at each place, and found a few "friendly" ones which I then use most of the time. Nothing special you can do but keep looking. |

I have noticed that I cannot fill my Mondial T at "full throttle" at any of the local gas stations here. Basically, the system cuts out as if it is full and I need to fill at a very clow rate. Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this? I did not have this problem on my 92... Thanks, JMG |
