I've been using them on the 355. I like the sound, and with the other changes,it seems to work well.

No, there appears to be proof after oil analysis that it allows more dirt in. You will get about 5-8% more HP though. You need to weigh the pros and cons. I run a K&N, the performance isn't a huge deal, but I like the new intake noise. I change my oil often and a benefit of a K&N you'll never have to get a new filter. Just make sure you keep it clean and add the K&N recharge oil. A dirty K&N performs much worse than even a dirty stock filter.

I'm thinking of fitting a pair of k and n air filters on my 1995 f355. Is it true to say that this introduces the possibility of dirty air entering the engine and perhaps doing some harm? Or is this just an old wives tale?
