Well, it was definitely a 4 blade rather than 5 (the thread I refer to stated this was ok in the position I put it in, and I checked the 348 wiring diagram and it shows just the 4 connections in the position I was using it)

The diode was that way around also.

Dave,

Does the schematic on the relay look like the picture on the left?

No, it was a non F relay but the diode in them is the correct way around according to the thread where they were recommended.

Dave,

Did you use a Ferrari relay? or a relay with the diode the right way round? - The diode has to go the right way round or it will blow the 30 amp fuse. - It was all in the other thread if I remember.

The Ferrari part number is 156669 - TAV145-51.

I believe they are about 12.

Keep us posted if you still have the problem

Mine is RHD,

My first thoughts when I was installing the pedal set was that the installation instruction pics were probably LHD but what threw me was that although most on the chat site are USA, your company is in UK, so I then thought yours may be RHD with a later standard...mystery solved thanks.

I think what blew my 30A fuse was me swapping out a couple of the old Bosch relays for a later diode protected version as recommended a couple of weeks ago on the site, the old Bosch ones are back in now...whats that old saying, if it aint broke...

Dave,

Great to hear the A/C is back up and running!

Is it possible to take a picture of the pedal/pedal arm, to see the difference?

Just realised! - Is yours a RHD? - Mine is LHD

Thanks

Paul

Wow, I'm suprised at the difference considering only 1 year in production, the control arms that the pedal faceplates are welded onto come in from a totally different angle!

I got that 30A fuse changed out and the aircon plant is up and working again...thanks again for link to pic, saved me a heck of a lot of time.

Dave,

The Diagrams/Pictures are from my 92-348ts. - There might have been a design change at some time - Thats why I only give the hole locations as a reference!

Thanks for the praise on the pedals - much appreciated.

Thanks Paul, I'll give it a go.

BTW, fitted the pedals yesterday, they look wicked! Just out of interest what model of 348 did you get your diagrams from, the pedal arm cranks are totally different from mine so I used different hole positions than those shown.

Dave,

You should be able to just lift up the corner of the liner to get to the fuse - here is the link for the picture

Think I've blown it by swapping out relays, has anyone got any pics to remind me of its 'exact' location under the hood insert to make life easier in swapping it out (I should have taken pictures myself the last time I was in there but forgot). Taking out that liner was such a pain last time I want to try and swap the fuse this time with the least hassle,I vaguelly recall someone saying it can just about be done with the liner in situ.

Any images or even manual extract diagrams would be much appreciated.
