Does anyone know how these metal tubes are retained in the intake manifolds and whether they can be removed without damaging them? I plan to replace the hard lines with fittings into the manifold and soft plumbing. This will allow use of a bank of manometers to facilitate balancing. |

On a carb'ed 308 intake manifold there are metal tubes going to each cylinder with a small hole inside the ports, what are these tubes for and where do they goto on an original 308 engine? |
