Modman, thanks for the info. I didn't know that the 348 had already gotten away from sealed beams. |

What? you don't need to replace the housing for a 348 as they take a 9006 for low beam and 9005 for high beam. I installed an HID kit from Bellof and worked out great. If you can't afford to go HID then go with a higher wattage bulb with a wiring upgrade you can do yourself with relays and heavier gauge wire, a pain in the ass to get to the bulbs though.

Yes, you can go to XENON by getting a new housing to replace yours that will take H4 xenon bulbs. You don't have to upgrade your wiring if you stay with stock wattage or only slightly higher, and you'll still get the extra brightness and whiter light of Xenon. If you need a place to find the conversion housings, you can check www.ProCarParts.com ... click on lighting and then conversion kits. eBay is also a good source. If you do want to go with high wattage bulbs (more than 85w) then you should consider an easy wiring change. See the thread here |

Hi guys, Just got back from holiday & noticed my nearside headlight is not working. Main beam works fine. Any idea how to change it & can I replace both with Xenon (or other brighter bulbs - suggestions please?) without need for new wiring ? |
