Clean all the contacts at the digiplex and the wires going to the coils with electrical contact cleaner |

A good way to check to see if a plug is not getting juice is to remove the lead from the plug. Leave the plug in the cylinder. Find a spare plug and attach high tension lead to it. Attach battery jumper cable to outside of plug. Ground other end of jumper cable to engine. Crank/start engine and look at plug gap. |

Bill, I had a coil wire that visually appeared to be connected so I initially overlooked it. The I started moving wires and the one sort of slipped off the coil. When I cleaned and secured that one wire, the problem went away. |

My bet is one of the flywheel pick-up sensors. Check the resistance with an ohm meter (if I recall correctly they should be around ~1.8ohm) |

Ditto here--my QV did the same thing. It turned out to be a coil wire and a flywheel pick-up sensor. Best of luck. |

Check the plugs in the bank that is not firing. Look for unburnt fuel. Many times, this problem has electrical in nature, it was in my case. Check the archives. |

Happened to me a couple of years ago in my QV. It was the TDC cam position sensor on that bank... quick and easy replacement solved the problem. |

I dont know, but we have changed the ignition coil unit. We have also changed some fancy Magnet Marelli wire, which I will check tomorrow and be back. Thank for your help

Is it electrical in nature? Are plugs from offending cylinders getting spark? |

Hello. I have some problem with my 308 gts qv 1983. When the engine is cold the engine only runs on 4 cylinders. Does anyone have had the some problems, and what did they do ? |
