Thanks guys! Glad to learn that this is no big deal for street driving. But, I will have my mechanic stuff them back where they belong. They are too close to the ground anyway. BTW, I thought the 512TR's bottom (up to the engine bay anyway) is completely covered up by steel plates. But after seeing the pipes coming down, I guess there are certain areas of the bottom not covered up. |

Not a big deal at all, in fact on the early TR's the ducting is so poor, I am not sure why they put them on. It wil not hurt anything unless you were tracking it until you fix it. |

Unless you are going to be doing some really hard track racing with lots of braking, it should be of no immediate concern. |

I hope you guys can help me with this one. Yesterday, I was driving along and heard some strange noises from underneath the car. I checked the bottom of the 512TR and saws these 2 pipes have fallen down.
Checked the parts manual and these appear to be brake cooling pipes? The car drives normally and nothing strange about the brakes either. I will get it fixed next week anyway, but is this a serious and expensive problem? Thanks! |
