when the car gets hot especially after "heat sink"(when you shut the car down after it's up to temperature)this happens to the F-1 in the 355 too.So if Ive been driving I am carful not to get stuck in that position sucks but what ever.

Sounds like the reverse solonoid has too much resistance. (resistance goes up with heat) Should be an easy fix to replace the solonoid. Check conections first though, as that might be the cause of the resistance. |

I have a '77 308. The 4th gear kept popping out while driving. Its in the shop. With exterior adjustments that could not fix the issue, my mechanic is dropping the engine to pull the gearbox. There is about 20 hours in that process alone and an an additional 6-10 hours for the gearbox work itself. So in labor alone, I will have a min of $2500 for the round trip (in and out). It looks like the sync's are toast, there there is probably $2-4K in hard parts.....Did I make your day? |

Hi I have a 360 F1 and I have problem with reverse when the car is hot. I ve to shut it down for a while, and start again in order to engage reverse. Has this ever happened to yuo guys??? If so, what is it?? expensive???!!???!! |
