Have the seam re-welded. First run a lot of water through it, prior to welding.

I took both fuel pumps off and replaced them...the only place they were leaking had to me at the seams where the face meets the body of the pump. I would like to have the old pumps resealed...anyone ever try to do that?

i have the fuel pump out of the car right now and am looking at it, the only place it could be leaking is the seam around the front of the pump. I certainly can't see it. Oh well, when I replace it, i will find out. Does anyone know where these pumps could be rebuilt?

I just had a fuel pump leak in my '89 328, initially I thought that it was the fuel fitting or the copper crush washers, it turned out that it was actually leaking from the electrical stud next to the fuel fitting.

Coach -- www.importeccatalog.com for the Bosch stuff -- just type the Bosch PN into the SEARCH box...

This morning, I discovered a nice puddle of gasoline under my 1986 TR. I put it on a lift and accessed the fuel pumps, and one was dripping regularly. I tried tightening the line fittings to the engine...no help. I took that line off, still leaking. It is leaking somewhere in the body of the pump. The pump looks brand new...and try as I could, I never could figure out where it was leaking from. What would cause the pump to leak? If it was a pinhole, it should spray a fine mist ..instead it just drips. If it is indeed the pump's fault, can I order one directly from Bosch, as I have the Bosch part number, and if so, does anyonehave the website? Thanks
