There was a service bulletin from Ferrari advising dealers to remove the fiberglass ducts or scoops on all the 308gt4's, especially when the customer complained about this problem. This was the factory's solution! Brilliant! |

Naw, Peter, you'd still get too much grit with a K&N. <g> |

I've had some success with using screen-door screening. Although, it still passes some fine dust. Maybe next time I'll modify a K&N filter...

Mitchell: I think at least some of the grit is rotten foam insulation, however, you guys are right in that a fair amount of road gunk comes up as well. I'm going to try furnace filter material, as it should be low restriction. |

Hi Aren't GT4's great? Air ducts in the front that operate like road vacuums :-) .25" or .5" thick air conditioner foam inserted into the front intake of the heater boxes. I will be doing that shortly. |

When I am driving with the windows up in my GT4 and I open the heater box vents to let air in from the outside, fresh air comes in with bugs, dust, and dirt scooped up from the road. Is there a air filter system somplace? Can I get to it? |
