I had the QV wheels on my previous 308 painted the same shade as the 355 wheels, and it looked great. The lighter shade of silver really makes them "pop" out. I intend to refinish my 328 wheels the same way, as they come with an even darker shade of silver than the original 308's. |

Mine are painted to match the 355 wheel color. A few shades lighter than original 5 lug (the single lug are lighter than the 5 lug), at the concours that went by un-noticed. Pics upon request (before and after). -Ben

I've decided to have my wheels refinished. My car is not concours correct, and some areas may actually be better than "factory" when I'm through. I'm considering using a different shade of silver, and spending a lot of time getting the wheels perfect if possible. I've read through the archives about people trying to duplicate the original finish. What about changing it? Has anyone done this? Did any purists notice? If so, what did they say? I'm sure I'll do what I want in the end, but would like to get opinions. |
