Rolly, as I mentioned once in an email to you, try Acklands-Grainger. The last Baldwin B253 I bought from them was $15 Cdn. Try this location in Mississauga: 6185 Tomken Rd. (905) 795-8100 ph (905) 795-8007 fax |

I posted this a while ago and have since received the filters. I don't know about shipping into Canada, but you can try them... Search on Baldwin B253 for my source!! |

Thanks Low, I received word overnight from Mahle that the OC-105 I have is not an acceptable application, it's slightly longer and has a different pressure relief valve specification. Mahle says to return it for the OC-67. So.......the moron on the other side of the parts counter wouldn't give us the wrong filter on purpose would he?.....Nahhhhhh. |

I am currently running on one. Not sure what difference it will make, but definately have no negative feedback. I'm currently in an overseas office, will check on the part number when I get home. |

I've tried, with no luck to obtain the Baldwin B253 oil filters mentioned in an earlier thread . I haven't given up the search yet here in southern Ontario, but at an import auto store on the weekend they were high on the Mahle (German) filters. Looked well made, has a relief valve, price was hefty....so I bought one (OC-105). At home, before installing it on my 1975 308 GT4, I thought I'd check the web to confirm the part #. Heard back from a Mahle rep that the correct model is OC-67. Waiting to hear from them if the OC-105 is also acceptable. I know Mahle make great pistons......anyone out there had experience good or bad with these filters? And what filter #s were used? |
