Yes, it is a small value, but there are 10 of them for each cam-shaft. |

Terry - if they are like the Dino, they are 10 mm nuts. VERY easy to strip the studs. Snug is all you need. The torque settings mentioned sound correct. Not much torque at all. Jim S. |

Terry, Pls double check your manual, The camshaft cap nut torque has been 0.9 kg-m(6.5 ft-lb) since the 308GT4 FSM, & is that value in the 308QV & also the 328 tech specs.

Wow, thats not much torque at all. Actually, im not sure my torque wrench will even go down to only 5lb. My torque wrench has ft lb and newton meters... Is that low of a torque more than finger tight? IT would seem with only 5 ft lb of torque you could just remove the nuts with your fingers... |

I use an "inch pounds" torque wrench (1/4 in. drive) and convert to 'in. pnds.' when tightening small fasteners. Most quality torque wrenches have a conversion scale with them, or look up the conversions at: http://www.ravensblade-impreza.com/techdocs/torque.html |

If it is kg-force * meter then that would be about 4.3 ft-pounds.

Im replacing the cam seals and decided its easier to remove the cams rather than remove the pulleys. When replacing the cams.... how many lb feet do you torque the cap nuts? My manual says 0,6 kgm ? Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and that means... ??? Thanks! |
