It can be from the screws which hold the seat backs on, I put small felt pads over them after having roof resined and colour coded then dropping it across the back and having a nice 10 inch scratch along it! ps. for the record when I did my runway blast, exactly 7000rpm in 5th was 155mph electronically recorded. 1994 348 GTS with no cats & sports exhaust & k&n. ps. I've organised another runway blast on April 27th, lots of exotic cars coming, 2 miles straight, very very wide, smooth, amazing fun. Mail me if you fancy it? will cost about 150 for about 7 runs, you certainly see some big speeds then! |

have to remove all stuff from rear seat pockets or the roof of my 355gts gets dinged. I know coach builder near heathrow who will sprinkle magic dust on your roof. |

Hello everyone, This post has two points. The first (& most enjoyable) is that incredible wail that builds up at just under 6000rpm... with such power as well... it's absolutely breathtaking... It's recently been sunny and I've managed to get out a fair bit, I've hit 6000 in 2nd, 3rd and 4th and the noise is just incredible... pity I don't (yet) have a way of ditially recording it.. I'm waiting for a track day before I try 6000 in 5th but I'm expecting to be around 140mph when I hit it Anyway, took the roof off, placed it in it's black 'bag' and stowed it behind the seats... At 6ft 4 I have to have my seat as far back as it will go and was disappointed to find a small dint in the roof in the centre about 3mm wide that looks like it had been caused by the something pressing into the roof whilst it was stowed behind the seats... bit of a bummer really but you live and learn... You know what I mean about the noise? anyone experienced the roof dint? |
