This requires the removal of the calipers and then the rotors. The adjuster must be "backed out" and the new pads installed. Be careful with the retention springs as they can be a pain to deal with and they CAN draw blood. ;-) To save some bucks, get the existing shoes relined at a reputable friction materials provider ($50 vs $400 list).

While you're down there, check out the brake pads. You might want to flush and bleed the hydraulic system afterwards. This will also afford you the opportunity to inspect the suspension bushings and outer CV boots.

Has anyone replaced the emergency brake shoes on an early Testarossa? I have an 85. What was the approximate cost of parts and are there any other repairs, adjustments, etc. that should be done at the same time.
