Mark, This must be common on 348's. I had a 94 do this. I did what the others advise. Tube had been disconnected from the T connection. Dave |

Mark What you have to do is take out the upper trunk lining. Open the hood, then remove the rubber that runs around the top. Take all of the screws out, that hold the top part in place. Lift out the top of the trunk lining. You should be able to see the master cylinder. Look behind it and up under the dash. You will see the tube that runs from the washer fluid tank to the windshield wiper. There is a connector that splits the tubes into two smaller tubes, that lead to each wipper. Once you have found that, with the help of some one, shine a light in there, while they spray the windshield, so you can see where the leak is coming from. It could be that one of the tubes is not connected all the way or that it has a leak. You can fix it no problem. Good luck. |

Hi Mark, you got one eventually then!!Havent seen you on PH for a while. I had same thing, is a nightmare to get to but possible to fix. You need to open bonnet & unscrew the panel with the carpet on it including the surround for the inlet which leads to the heater. The pipe you need (should be) is almost directly level with the steering wheel(on a LHD car) and runs from left to right as I remember. There is a small T connector leading to this which will have worked loose. It took me about 10 mins last time and involved my arm doing very strange contortions behind the lhd windscreen wiper and me losing a bit of skin! Good luck. ps. if you cant be bothered then I'm sure your MOT guy will do it for you for a tenner (thats what I did the first time) pps, fancy coming to a runway to max your car out? see thread in European section here or on PH. |
