It could have been that the button in the middle of the steering wheel made contact. Take off the middle cover of the steering wheel. It is made of a foam rubber material and pops off easy. You can use your fingers. After you get it off you can see were the wires are connected to the button on the back. There are some rubber covers that are on the wires, that slide over the connection point. If those slid off it could have led to a wire making some kind of contact, causing the horn to go off. Or one of the wires was coming loose.

maybe she felt neglected :-) Seriously, if the horn works on a relay I would check that, do you keep the battery on a tender overnight?

Got up this morning, to a loud high pitched sound comming from outside, went to investigate, turned out to be the horn on my 348! Just started honking by its self. I opened the car and thought i'd try pressing the horn, and it worked, the noise stopped. Has anyone got any ideas as to why this might have happened and how to prevent it happening again? (dont think the neighbours were impressed at 6am!). It wasn't the alarm as it is a clifford and not linked the the car horn (also tried turning alarm on/off, just in case). If anyone can shed some light on this i'd be most gratefull.

thanks Darren.
