NGK 6's should work fine, but if you have fouling problems, go to 5's. The standard ones are fine, if you got money to burn, get the platinum or iridium ones... Not sure on the gap, but I used 6's set at .034 with Crane xr700's and that worked great |

I been down the path on this at least once. The guys at Continental strongly recommend NGK 5's on my carb'd 308. I run HPX electronic ignition and gap them at 35 thou as a result. If you don't have the coil power, I'd use the stock setting (0.027 as I recall). Runs like a champ. |

I am not sure if there is a difference in the spark plugs used but what are the best spark plugs to use in a carburetted 308 engine that is running a Euro spec electronic single distributor. Also what gap should I run the plugs at? |
