I have changed my exhaust and dropped the rear header. Not hard, bolts were actually quite easy, but I think I was lucky. Buy new donuts and probably worth replacing the copper gaskets between the head and the header (I did). Cat cars have the sprung bolts (heat) and I know others have had to cut theirs. I recall the bolts and springs are quite pricey. |

Michael, Get new exhaust gaskets and do it with the car COLD if you still have cats on. You make need to cut the bolts off as well Matt |

I've just ordered a full stainless manifold and silencer set and it should be ready for collection in about a week or so. Does anyone know of any tips or potential problems I'm likely to encounter when removing/installing the manifolds? Do I need to strip anythig from the engine etc. Car is 1981 308GTSi. Thanks everyone. Mick |
