ou just drive your 512TR or TR on the road it will probably be good for 100,000 miles. I'm racing mine so i subject it to pretty horrendous abuse. My 512TR is at or on its way to redline most of its life. I think she likes it that way too |

is it better to change it now, or wait for it to explode? How much damage is made if it explodes, ie: will it take out more components than just replacing the diff with an M diff?

William, it's completely changed in how the diff plates housing is manufactured...the old housings were welded and would crack at the welded seem and explode....the M housings are thicker and not welded at the stress joint like the early versions..and cannot explode like the early versions. Bigger, Better, Stronger = M |

William. Contact Modena Engineering in Aulstralia I installed one of there racing diffs in a customers TR. The part is very well machined and extremly well made. Though a bit pricey, you will never have to replace it again. Did your diff explode on you aswell? |

Ive heard that most rebuilt 512TR transmissions now come with 512M differentials. What is the difference ? Is the 512M diff noticably stronger than the 512TR diff ? Thanks |
