THANKS EVERYBODY....

All done. Once I got through the learning curve of the first wheel, finished the other 3 in about 20 minutes.

I would have been screwed without your help.

Really need the car for Sunday and .... well ever have that feeling..."Why did I start this now?"

One last comment / trick. When placing he spring back on, squeeze the center, then take the old brake pad you just removed and use it to push the upper part of the retainer spring back into place. Snaps right in!

Thanks Again.

Well...it's a little tricky....you have to squeeze the center with one hand and with the other two hands hit the spring edge with a flat scewdriver to pop it the rest of the way over the holder lock.

Get a decent sized flat edged screwdriver, squeeze the center with appropriate pliers,..and with the flat edge of the screwdriver on the spring lip push hard until it pops in.

Did you coat the backs of the pads & champher the edges to prevent squeeking?

OK last question.....new pads in, having small problem getting spring back in, squeezes OK but can't get the top forward enough to "clip" into place.

Any tricks to putting them back in?

Yes you squeeze the center section of the spring to shorten it enough to get it to pop out and swing out of the way.

OK - I'm used to seeing a bolt on top of the pad retainer spring that you remove to swing the spring down.

How do you remove the retainer spring? Manual says squeeze it, but where? Can't squeeze top or bottom due to part of the brake housing is in between the springs to prevent squeezing?????

Anybody?
