Ernest -- There are three different versions of the TR thermocouple warning light ECUs shown in the 587/90 SPC so make sure you get the right one (and I'd make sure it's a source where you can do an exchange/refund if necessary): the one on Sodacom's site (based on the PN given) is for the early TRs (up to SN 76444). the middle version is described as using "cylindrical connectors" from SN 76445 up to ? (unfortunately the SPC is missing the "up to" SN) and the last version is described as using "water-proof" connectors. I bought a pair of the last version from T. Rutlands about 2 years ago for ~$550 total for my '91TR just for reference. The TR OMs say the exhaust temp warning light "flashes" at 1652 +/- 36 deg F (900 +/- 20 deg C) and will be "steady lit" at 1724 +/- 36 deg F (940 +/- 20 deg C). |

Maybe the eBay ones are the ticket, but they state 'This is the ECU that controls the O2 sensors'. I'm not sure if they are the same ones that control the temp sensors. Also, Sodacom's service has been great but I didn't find the $225 price, it was $770! Here's the link http://shop.vendio.com/sodacom/item/536925673/index.html Anyone know the proper temp ranges where the idiot light is supposed to come on? Thanks. Ernest. |

Jeff - That would be the little brain boxes often referred to as teh ECUs. They sit behind a panel on the passenger side of the engine compartment. Thanks. Ernest. |

Ernest, are you referring to the thermo-couples that read cat. convertor temps? Or the brain boxes? |

You know those two temp sensors on a Testarossa that run into a panel on the passenger side engine compartment and connect to these wierd electronic control devices? One of mine is bad and I hate to blow $$ on what they cost new. There must be an easier way - it can't be that complex of a unit? Any ideas? Any used ones? THanks. Ernest Riggen |
