Shamile,

We know about Discount Auto parts for filters.

Fram has poor quality and Puralator is no better.

UFI is o.k. but expensive.

The Baldwin B253's are the best and are about $12

Hey Guys,

I hate to tell you but you can get the Fram and a better puralator filter off the shelf at Discount/Advance auto parts. Yes, the part numbers are exactly the same. Even their computer says it's for a Ferrari.

Found my own answer

Looks Like I am shopping for a new Baldwin dist

"HP1, although the same size, will not work as it has no stand-pipe, so when you start your engine, it'll turn over dry. Fram's Ferrari oil filter is PH-2804-1, but these don't stand up well to the heat from the engine (stand-pipes collapse and anti-drain-back valves are weak). Still, the best choice is Baldwin B253. Look up in the "Keyword Search" function of this site to find out where to get Baldwin's (usually truck shops)."

Do not use Fram's. They sold several years ago and are now total crap. The oil pressure light use to take 5-10 seconds to go off when I had a Fram. Within the week I changed to an UFI filter and the light goes off in 1-2 seconds. You do the math. Call T Rutlands and order several UFI filters.

My Balwind guys went out of business and the Fram PH2804-1 are available by special order only and I need to change the oil in the next couple of days. Do the Fram HP-1's work has a subsitiute to the PH2804-1?

TTFN
TIA
Matt
