Greg, Congratulations on the experiment. The WUR almost never breakdown, the pressure setting just cannot adjust to worn engine condition. This is manifested by hard starting etc. They can be adjusted but it is a hit and miss affair and can be very frustrating because of assembly and disassembly trying to get it right. BTW, during disassembly, make sure the metal washers are put back in the correct order, otherwise you will have a chronic no-adjust situation on the CO. Minor adjustments to the WUR is accomplished by pressing the tiny brass pin in or out. The pin is located on the WUR body. |

Yes it is. It is for my Lotus. Good news though. I took it off the car and apart. I spent time running 12V to it and looking at the bi-metallic strip, aneroid capsule, cleaned it, etc. I put it back on the car and it runs great. Very excited! Thanks. |

Greg -- What's the $ situation? Is a rebuilt WUR really that much cheaper than a new one from www.importeccatalog.com? |

I was wondering if anyone has any info on rebuilding a Bosch CIS Warm Up Regulator? I have heard that it works just fine after the rebuild but I have also heard that they can't get it to the right spec, runs ok but never right. Has anyone had a WUR rebuild and what was the outcome? |
