Man, this FChat is a tough crowd. Reminds me of the tough neighborhood I grew up in. It was so tough that the local restaurant served broken leg of lamb... And the guy nailed to the cross in church was real... Yeah, Us Ferrari 2+2 guys don't get any respect..

Naw, it's the sound of the intake digesting the top of the last GTS it ate. |

Hans, that popping sound is your gt4 dropping nuts and bolts has it shakes violently on a cold start up. M |

I get an occasional popping up thru the carbs when cold. Did it even when warm before I richened up the idle jets. Sounds a little like a soft twig snapping. Take off the air filter, and see if you can see a carb 'sneezing' - a little puff of fuel vapor above a carb throat. If so, don't worry about it. |

Mine does that. Ferrari in Woodland Hills said it was normal while cold. Alan said it was a valve that would open and close. He said to not worry about it. So I don't Matt |

I would say you have an air leak in the air injection system somewhere. Is the air pump belt on and the pump working? Next check the air rails at the cylinder heads for cracks or broken connections. Inspect the check valves on the air rails also. |

When, I start, cold start, my 308 the exhuast gives off a popping sound. Is this the norm or should I be worried? |
