Steven, You're welcome. I got the part#s from my catalogs & checked Ferrari.UK pricing. I don't want to pay 85 pounds for the plenum. That's why I'm asking about a used one here. There's gotta be some out there. |

Verell, MANY thanks for your assistance this weekend. Your help is TRULY appreciated and hope all those lights/assembly help you. You could get a new one from Ferrari UK from the owners.ferrari.com website . If you want, i can easily add it to one of my many orders with them and then bring it by. BTW, can not find Hutch & Son ph number as i want to get the rear end aligned ASAP with new tires. MANY MANY MANY thanks. Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Still looking..... I'd also consider taking a rebuildable alternator with the plenum attached if the price were right. As long as the stator winding is OK, it's probably rebuildable. |

Does anyone have a spare alternator air intake plenum, preferably with the duct, that they'd like to sell? I believe that 328s & the last run of 308QVs used them. Possibly 348s also. I'm assuming the plenum's made for a BOSCH alternator, but I should be able to adapt one made for a DELCO alternator if necessary I thought I'd ask the F*Chat before I started calling the various places that part out 3x8s. I was looking at Steven Rochelin's '85 308 QV & noticed that the back of his alternator was completely enclosed with a metal plenum with a orange duct running down beside the engine mount. I really like this setup much better than the flat plate on standoff brackets that's on the back of my '82 QV's BOSCH alternator. . For one thing any oil that drops down does NOT get sucked into the alternator. For another, the duct pulls in air that hasn't been pre-heated by the exhaust manifold & engine!
