OK, as nobody seems to "take care of you", here my 2 cents. Your problem is probably connected to the ignition system. First check if all ignition wires are correctly connected. Check if they are still soft or already hard. If they are hard, you will need new ignition wires. Also take the ignition caps of and check them including the rotors. Also check the spark plug extenders and the spark plugs themselves. Good luck and let me know what you find out. Christian |

I have resently developed a problem with my 88 1/2 TR. Upon moderate acceleration my TR feels "jerky". This happens when I first start off on some mornings, but not all. The jerkiness goes away after I stop for a few minutes, with the engine off, and then restart. I know that the symptoms can relate to ignition, fuel, etc. But has anyone experienced the same problem? During the jerkiness, the car seems low on power. There is no jerkiness when the throttle is in one spot, but begins as soon as I start to accelerate. Can it be something simple, like a stuck air valve? If anyone has experienced the same problem, and had it fixed, I would appreciate a response. |
