Manfred,
While you are doing all of this, you might wish to upgrade the fuses to the glass type. Not sure what brands are sold in Germany, but in the States we have a brand called Buse, that are glass with stainless steel end caps. They make a direct substitute for the ceramic ones, and are make much better electrical contact than the often corroded ceramic type. Clean all the metal tabs on the fuse box with contact cleaner and a Scotchbrite pad. Then gently bend the tabs closer together for a tighter fit.

A great tip from Tony Pallidino in a back issue of Forza magazine a few years ago....

Regards,
Dave

Greg, This morning I removed all relays and connectors and looked for the back of the fusebox.obvius there have been two pins which got bad contact ( getting to hot once a time) belonging to the circuit of the fuelpump.
I soldered them for new, checked all relays under load, and replaced it all.All Relays did work fine, but some havent been on the coorect place.

It seems to be a little bit better than before.

Now I have only two faults.
The front foglights doesnt work ( seems to be the switch)

And if Ignition is switched off, the beamers come out and one Relay begins to sqeak.????

For the Moment I got no time to look for it, will do next time

Hi Greg,
Id be very glad if you could do so, so I havent to wait so long.

Thanks Manfred

Manfred, there is a website (can't remember the link) where you can download the manuals for free. Else, I can send you the 1-2 pages from mine in a PDF file tonight.

Manfred, There are three (2) primary types of relays used (at least for my '84 308QV)...with one or two odd-ball relays used only once.

Between the numbers that are stamped on the relays themselves and your Owners Manual which diagrams which relay in which location, that should be enough to replace in the correct position.

Get a piece of paper and diagram the relay locations. Replacing one-by-one and double checking your documentation, that should get you through this issue.

Some owner's manuals actually show the Bosch relay # for each location of the relays in the electrical section of the manual. Can't remember if your has that or not.

Ive made a silly fault, when checking my Fusebox, I removed all Relays Thinking they would be all the same type. So it isnt.
After replacing the relays I got a lot of electrical Gremlins. Heaterfan isnt working anymore, Glasslifters go down when switching on the lights, and somethings more going wrong.

Id be happy if someone could give me an prescription which type of relay would belong to which socket.

Thanks Manfred(Mondial QV 84)Upload
