Great! Thanks Noel, I didn't even know that was there. I was concerned about not wearing the shoulder harness, but now I get the best of both worlds......no more mouse! Thanks for the pics! |

Here you go Philip - the alternative mounting point of the shoulder belt. Remember to always buckle up.

Yes, the light stays on, even with the lap belt secured......however, the light doesn't bother me at all......compared to the mice running up and down the track! |

Philip, You can still use the shoulder belt. The 2nd latch is on the seat itself. I'll see if I can take a picture. |

I disconnected my wires under the seat this weekend, as Noel suggested earlier.....so nice not to have those things going up and down....nice and quiet...thery were kind of distracting, and my wife got her purse strap caught in it a few times....DUH! Now I just use the lap belt.......... |

Craig, They are two ecu`s attached to a panel in the center console directly behind the A/C control panel. you can access them by removing the right side console panel. both of them are black with one connector on each. regards, Jim |

Jim, i looked in the manuel and it doesnt specify whitch ecu's are the seatbelt ecu's, the belts work ok, its just every time i open or close the door even the slightest bit the belt hook goes all the way forword and all the way back, i think its more anoying than anything else |

it seems to me that of all things in a car: seatbelts should definitely follow the KISS theory. The less moving parts the better. |

Vincent, The owner of the car taking the risk can do whatever he or she wants to do, But It is illegal for a dealer or independent repair shop to disable the automatic system that the vehicle was designed with for the model year. Best regards, Jim |

Wait......what? the seatbelts still work, but now you just have to hook them up manually instead of leaving them hooked in all of the time. How is that illegal? |

Craig, If you are having a problem with the seatbelt system, the best way to shut down the Mad Mouse as you call it is to unplug the two control ECU`s that are behind the console panel on the passenger side footwell. Just make sure you disconnect the battery before you unplug or plug in the ECU`s or you can spike the ECU and damage them. But as you say, it is illegal to tamper with the safety systems of any vehicle and I would suggest that you keep with the system. I know it is cumbersome, but when it works, it does work well and your safety behind the wheel is most important. Best regards, and safe motoring Jim |

Ticket anyone? Disconnect the belt, don't show it to the cops. You'll get a mvoing violation for not wearing the belt.

They are under the seat, accessible from the rear. Just disconnect the molex type connector & the "mouse" will return to home & stop there. |

Ok guys, My check 1/4 engine light has come on and off. I went to my guys at BlackHorse in Hollywood. They are awesome. They hooked up the computer and showed me the ECU sensor was red flagged in the computer, they reset and it went away. Now it constantly comes on and off. I have reset it by turning the battery off and it resets the ECU sensor. I am looking for a permanent fix. Any suggestions? |

Doctor, Craig, I forget which fuse but over the left front wheel is your fuse box. there is one fuse which disconnects these (crazy seatbelts), it should be in labeled in your OM. |
