I'll just observe next few days.Interesting point since this happened after a ride in the rain back from Victoria.

Martin,

Perhaps you have some sand or dirt on your garage floor that was dropped off from your tires. So when you back your car out, the tires slips on the dirt and cause the ASR light to come on.

The ASR in my car does seem to be too eager to cut in at times.

I'm not sure.This AM started it up in the garage put it in reverse=no problem.???? What do you think?

Does the ASR light turn on when the car is at rest while in the garage? Or only when you engage reverse?

For the past 2 days the ASR light stays on when I start to back up out of the garage and then goes off after a few secs and doesn't come back on while driving 200 miles.Then the next am (today) same syndrome.
Other than checking brake fluid level(I believe I have to remove a panel in the trunk )any ideas?
Since it's so transient didn't think it was urgent to bring it in to service. Any thoughts?
