By the way, I open the airbox and inspect the filter every time I change the oil.
You'd be surprised by what can get sucked into an air intake at 140mph, or at 55mph for that matter.

The K&N is E-2930. I ordered mine from www.martelbros.com for $50 plus shipping (Autozone wanted $80 and they'd have to order it). Regardless of claims of more hp, I just wanted a filter I wouldn't have to mess with. $50 for a filter I probably won't have to pull out and look at again in the next decade is worth it.

Hi Greg,
K&N makes a direct replacement filter that will fit in the standard aircleaner box.
They also make little filters that fit on top of each weber, but by going that route you loose the fresh air being fed directly to the carbs, hot less dense air from the engine bay = less H.P.

What type of airfilter options on available for my 78' 308 GTS? I was hoping to get a filter that will sit right on top of the carb. This would make more room in my engine too. Does K&N make one? Thanks.
