Jeff - either way is fine - whichever is more convenient for you at this time. The central spline has a small radius compared to the tire, and therefore any asymmetric distribution of mass will have relatively small effect.

Sounds like the wheels make you proud. Enjoy.

Some of you may recall my lengthy battle at stripping my TR's wheels for restoring. Well, I got them back today and they look great! Now I must entrust them to a "hopefully" concerned tire mounting technician for mounting tires and balancing. I will be standing close by with heart pumping and veins throbbing. Should I have the wheel fully assembled...that is with the spline hub...or should it be just the wheel? Seems like it should be as complete as possible to eliminate any variables. What is the best way?
