I just bought 10 feet of the stuff. I think it is 7mm fuel hose and I got it at a foriegn car parts store. $1.10 a foot. I'm replacing mine but covering it in SS braid for protection. Also bought a box of FI clamps. |

I agree with Hans, I like to see the condition of the rubber also. I replaced all of the braided with standard fuel grade rubber on the vapor/liquid separator after finding semi-hidden chafes and cracks (lots of fumes!). The braided in the exposed areas for concours is fine as long as it is inspected and changed on a regular basis. DJ |

One problem with braided is that it can hide defects in the underlying rubber. i.e. the rubber can be rotten/cracked, but you might not notice because of the braiding. |

Fuel tank/vent/carb lines on the older Datsun 240Z's have the same cloth braid and you can still get the stuff new (NOS)in the Nissan bag. Unfortunatly it doesn't come an a roll so you will have to look up the longer lengths on the microfische at the parts counter. It's usually about 40.00 less per foot than Ferrari hose (if they can get it). Double check diameters! DJ |

Hey, I'm seeking some advice: My 79 308GTB (carbureted), needs fuel line. Existing is braided, is there a factory stock available, or can I use whatever I find? I'll stick with braided for the OE appearance. I found some at an old VW car parts outlet. Thanks, Chris. |
