Technically, you're painting your cam cover, not your cylider heads. Not too tough. BTW, the VHT red is not Ferrari red, too dark and dull. What I've done is use the VHT and then spray normal automotive paint tinted the correct color on top. Have fun. |

Guys need your advice Ive decided to respray my heads as the paint has started to flake, have just recieved my VHT wrinkle spray and initally was intending to attempt a respray while heads were still inplace in the car. However taking a closer look this now seems to be practically impossible due to the amount of parts in the way and the angle. So I need to take the heads off but would like to know if this is a major job ? Looking at an exploded diagram in my parts manual it appears to be a case of removing the 12 nuts around the outside and possibly the 2 round end plates 2 or 4 bolts ?? Is there any more to this? Also when replacing the head after removal 1)will I definatly have to replace the 3 gaskets on each head 2)will I need to do anything else ?? Cheers Scott
