If it's a GT4, the diodes are vacuum tubes.

I had the exact same thing happen on my car (77 308 gtb. Search the archives for diode, headlight etc... and you will find step by step instructions on how to test and replace the diodes. I replaced one shorted diode last month and they now work perfectly.

Hans,

On a GT4, It is a wink in the context of "yes, I am a real Ferrari. (wink wink)"

Check the archives...there was a thread a year ago about replacing the diodes to the motors to fix this malady.

It may not be normal, but it is kind of unique. I wonder how we can get our cars to do that? "Hey there, good looking! (wink, wink)"

When I turn on the lights, they both open and then the left one closes and opens again. When I turn off the lights, they both close and then the left one opens and closes again.

Is this normal? It has done it for as long as I've owned the car. If it is normal, why in the heck does it do that? I guess the next question would be, If it isn't normal, why in the heck is it doing that?

Cheers,
Pete
