I made my own in-tank filter, since the original was very $$$.
As for the external filter, as long as its a similar size/volume to that of the FIAAM, I see no problems. Malpassi makes really nice ones with glass bowls. Avaliable @ Demon Tweeks in the UK... (http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/) |

There was a thread recently where several people discussed changing from the FIAAM ferrari filter to just a high-performance filter from a racing shop. Did anyone do this? I'm thinking about doing it. Also, has anyone replaced the in tank filter? It looks like I could replace it with an external inline filter also. All this for easy servicability.
