We got the concours on the bayou October 20th. I'm getting it ready. Some windows are framed red, I think it is the later models. And yes I like the black grates, I know I will loose points for it, but to me it really set the car off. |

Kelly, The rear wing came with the car (purchased in July). I've noticed that most come in black. Saw your profile- love the finish on your car. Is your car Concours material? Mine isn't close. I noticed that my car's windshield frame is red while yours is black. Looks good either way. BTW, Were you talking about the black grates on the front hood? Don't see anything special there. |

Heath- I like that! You must live in sunny CA...'cause for NC summers, by the time you reach the car door, there is enough humidity to take a bath in. Plus the Mrs. would rather step into the cool SUV for a date night rather than my sweaty dream car. I'm trying to change all that. |

The over heating problem was caused by the 90degree hose starting to come off the radiator, now that I have replaced all the hoses with green Stripe, she runs fine. I drove her 160 miles on Sunday in 90 degree weather top on AC on, got 50 degrees at the vent. I'm happy. |

Randy, Some of the other guys may have done it but I haven't. I have installed units on other old cars such as Vettes, Thunderbirds, etc. These units are available in various places and can be installed DIY or within reason by a qualifed shop. I have never seen a conversion for a 308 Ferrari. Is everything gone? Evaporator, condensor, hoses, compressor etc.? If so you may have to find someone to do a custom job. I would'nt want to think of how much it would cost to have a Ferrari dealer install the entire system. There may be someone like Butch Hooper at Italian Design & Racing who may sell you a entire system out of a salvage car. Tele. 602-968-0421. www.italianauto.com . That's my suggestions. |

Whoa! I wasn't expecting a DIYer. Kelly- You da MAN! I appreciate your response. A DIYer...I am not. I just need to know if I can just bring a Ferrari into a local A/C shop and have them install a complete system - compressor and all. Besides you DIYers, has anyone ever had this done? Did you use a Ferrari authorized dealer or outside? |

Hey Kelly, I give you a lot of credit for doing what you did and achieving success. You may be getting the overheating from the replacement R134. It is usually suggested, on a R134 conversion, using a different condensor for better cooling. If you run both fans together you may or may not overcome the problem. Just a thought. |

Anybody know the best way to add an A/C system to an '81 308? The last owner pulled the whole system out. Is there such thing as an aftermarket A/C system or shop that would install. With all the different types of freon going around, I'm not sure what's best. A/C-less. |
