Not at all. But you do want to keep the same brand/models on the same axles (ie fronts or rears), to avoid any adverse handling.

S02's and S03's are great tires. Try it out and see if it works. Put the S02's in the rear down the road.

Is there a problem with running Toyo Proxes on the rear and Bridgestone SO2's on the front of my 512TR? I currently run Toyos all around, but I've not been happy with the feel of the front tires (shake between 95 and 130 mph). After 2 sets of bad tires and 5 different balancing acts I'm done with the Toyos. Tire Kingdom will refund the fronts 100% but the rears are worn and I just don't want to outlay the cash right now. Am I committing an automotive sin by mixing brands?
