I honestly have no idea how to remove the entire dash panel. I wrestled with mine for 2 days and got nowhere. The dash pod on the other hand is easy.

First remove the 4 warning lights that are at each corner of the instrument panel. These just pull out but DO NOT use a screwdriver to pry them out. You will only scratch the instrument panel. I picked up the trick on this forum of using dental floss slid behind the lights to get them out.

Once the lights are out you will see 4 screws, remove them and the whole cluster will come out.

To do this you must remove the steering wheel first and the best way is by removing the 6 allen head screws that hold it in place.

The hood over the instrument is held in with four 7mm nuts unscrew them and you can pull the hood off. In some instances it will stick but rest assured there are only these 4 nuts holding it in place.

Ass for the rest of the dash...God Speed for it was smarter than I. Good luck with the project.

Good luck with it. I had my ENTIRE interior restored on my 84 308 last year. Looks brand new.

With an impending complete redo of the interior of my '84 308 GTS QV I will need to remove the entire instrument panel and dashboard visor (gauge cluster). I have the windshield out and can get to the pop rivets to remove the forward black trim around the front of the dash. Have any of you removed your dash before? Are there any hang ups or problems I should be aware of before I start? Any tips on the wiring harnesses? All input will be appreciated. LOL and having fun!
