Alex, there is a ratchet setup in the retractor. When you unbolt them from the car you can see if the retractors are stuck in place or not. You can move them and use WD 40 and try to loosen them. If it is a broken retraction spring don't even try. I don't think you can get parts for them and they are pretty much assembled to remain intact. Too risky to fool with in my opinion. |

Has anyone taken the retractors apart to repair? Both front seat mechanisms on an 87 Mondial I just purchased don't retract! Any hints as to procedure or things to look for? Thanks. |
