I have the airdam off of the car so it was a very easy change-out. I did have to cut off the old fan mounting brackets which was a bit of a task. Then I pulled the a/c condensor away and mounted the fans to that and reinstalled.

This sounds like one great upgrade. Is it necessary to remove the radiator itself in order to remove the old and install the new fans?

will be in dallas on biz unfortunately
By the way---I think these new fans could pull the car along nicely if I were to run out of gas

I hope you bring it to the FCA-SE party next weekend in Atlanta. I'd like to see it. If you need details about the party, see www.fca-se.com

currently I am running my 308 4v back-up motor while I rebuild the 330 motor
I mounted them the easy way with the push-thru-a/c condenser zip ties provided. I will revisit it in the fall and make a set of brackets for them when I have a little more time.

Charles - did you have to make special mounting hardware or brackets? Or was it an easy remove-and-replace?

By the way, your profile says your 308GTSi is a "V-12"?? Did you drop some other engine in there? Nice looking car, by the way.

got 2 fans today and installed--works a LOT better than originals.
Funny thing is now I can sell my original fans for more that I have in the new ones.

This is where I bought my 2 Hayden fans, I don't think you can beat the price:

Here's a link to the guys that I posted about before:
http://www.v12s.com/indx.html

They make custom setups, but I think you'd be better off doing it yourself.

I used (2) 12" Hayden units. Made a aluminum brace to go along the top and bottom of the existing radiator mounting points and wired it into the factory wiring. Perfect fit. They work awesome. Run quieter, and flow tons more air across the radiator...total cost including everything under 125.00.

There's a guy I saw online that makes custom units for $400. Dual fan that moves 2000cfm. If I can find the link, I'll post it tomorrow.

Meanwhile, you might want to try making your own like BretM did:

http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/112/11481.html

It looks damn good and will cost about a quarter the cost.

Somewhere in time( long way back) someone told a story of removing the 308 fans and installing a twin fan unit with shroud and such. I have searched the archives but could not find it. It looked like a Flex-o-Lite or FAL unit.. Anyone familiar with this or tried this. the 4v cooling fans are OK--but something with a shroud would be a lot better I think.
