Hey Mitchel, the one I saw at Norwoods used to be a quad turbo, is black, and I think is from Atlanta.... |

When I read the name of this post I thought you were referring to that crazy black Quad Turbo Testarossa that resides here in Atlanta. That actual car showed up at my Exotic Car Mountain Drive last October. It was pretty awesome. Not only that, but my mechanic Bob Anderson did a lot of work on that car, he said it was pretty darn strong. Bill I can put you in touch with him if you desire? Let me know. -Mitchel |

Bill, I saw a TR in the process of being rebuilt and re-turbo'd at Norwoods the other day. I was told it had to be rebuilt because the original non-Norwood turbos were too small, great for spooling up fast, but not so great for high speed. They burned up. I admit to knowing nothing about such things, but thought I'd share the info. |

Greetings. Does anyone here have any info or experience with turbocharging the TR? Since I'm looking into fabricating a custom exhaust myself, the time to incorporate mounting flanges would be now, in the design phase. The outstanding issues that I see would be ecm programming, fuel pressure regulation, injectors, and anti-knock sensors. With the compression ratio at ~9.2, it should be able to handle mild (6lb trim) boost with ease. Perhaps two smaller IHI units would be practical. -Bill |
