In comparison the F355 settings: Front toe-in: 2.0mm +/- 0.5mm Front camber: -030' to -080' Rear toe-in: 2.0mm +/- 0.5mm Rear camber: -130' to -200' Front Caster: 700' +/-015 (power steering) On 225/40ZR18 front tires and 265/40ZR18 rear tires. The rear subframe on F348 Speciale and later have the same suspension attachment points as the F355. Prior to Speciale the upper rear control arm was higher on the subframe by ~0.6" Since you have lowered the car, you might also want to corner weight the suspension so each tire does its appropriate amount of work (balanced). If you find the car more twitchy on transition from brakes as you feed in steering input, raise the nose 1-2 turns on the shock. The original ride height of the F355 (for future reference) is 163 mm at the front and 187 mm at the rear. These are measured at the center of the bolt on the rear of the control arm at the bracket on the chassis. Chassis balance (understeer/oversteer) can be controlled by slight alterations of the rake of the chassis (or with tire pressure). |

Suspension Settings: (Bluemel book) All standard models: Front toe-in: 1mm +/- 0.5mm Front camber: 0 to +020' Rear toe-in: 2.5-3.0mm Rear camber: -130' to -150' 348 GT Competizione: Front toe-in: 2.0-3.0mm Front camber: -030' to -050' Rear toe-in: 2.5-3.5mm Rear camber: -120' to +140' Castor angle is a constant 530' +/-015'. These figures are applicable to a car in static laden condition: full tank of petrol, two persons on board. These are guides figures only as the factory issued several bulletins quoting different settings for improved handling: it is advisable to check with an approved dealer to obtain the correct values for a specific car. Hoped that helped a bit! Con saluti cordialissimi, Jens Haller |
