Mark, you wired the passenger slave switch backwards. Turn it around and it should be OK. |

John, Same switch is available from our sponsor Sodacom for $38. Please, please people, check around before buying from Italiancarparts.com. They typically charge 10 to 20% higher than your local dealer....I would much prefer to support my local dealer than pay the same prices (or higher) mail order. Sodacom's prices (and feedback on this list) make a compelling reason to buy from him. |

I had the same problem. When I removed the switches on the driver's side door, I found one of the wires had been pinched and cut through. I made a splice and now they work just fine. It is doubtful that both switches would fail at the same time. You need to check the wiring to them... |

Hi John, My 328 has exactly the same problem. When I bought the car last year, the passenger's side switch worked, but the slave switch did not. It was jammed and broken, and I replaced it two months ago. However, after I installed it, neither of the switches works! I now can't open the passenger window. You do not have to take off the door panel to remove the switch - if you contort your hand, you can push the switch out from the back (through the door lever aperture). I could not track down the Fiat part number for both LH and RH window switches. Does anyone out there have them? The Ferrari item was not cheap! Regards, MARK

I also posted that mine also quit. The contact cleaner worked on it for me as well. As I generally drive my car alone, the passenger side switch is rarely used. Now I reach across and use it to lower the window. 'If you don't use it, you lose it'! |

John, FYI, canned air is different then Spray contact cleaners. Hey , but what ever works. Peter, Yes it will. We can also replace it with a $20 Fiat part # same switch. Matt |

The switch on the passenger door (328) came out real easy. I noticed that I could hear the motor engage in lift mode (as opposed to lower mode). It was easy to pull the connectors apart. I sprayed it with keyboard "canned tornado" and put it all back. It still did the same thing. Then I remembered that there was one time when the driver's side switch for the passenger door did not work, but the passenger's switch did. So I took that one apart & did the standard wire giggle thing - what do you know... Now it works. Both of my switches look brand new inside an out. I must have had a wire bent a funny way. Evidently, the switch on the passenger's door is a slave to the driver's switch. Right??? Thanks for the motivation guys! FerrariChat saved me again! |

Peter, It was me. Also, the 328's window switches are not on the door, they are on the center console. John, Spray electrical contact cleaner into the switch. That should do the trick. Matt |

Do I have to take my door panel off to get to the switch? If the passenger switch stops making connection, does the drivers side switch for it automatically go out? Visa-Versa? All of the lights in the switches are working - humm... |

John..I have the exact same problewm on my 308. Someone posted the idea of spraying an electrical cleaner in the contacts. I will try this when I get my new door panels in next week. If you try this, please let me know if it works. The theory is that dirt, etc. causes the resistance to increase in the switch. If you are unaware, the switch should pull out of the armrest with ease. I would guess you can get to the connectors (on your car) from that point. |

Please help - My 328 passenger side window switch just stopped working. The slave switch on the driver's side won't work either. I tried a search for this topic but was not satisfied. Can anyone tell me what to do first?
