Greg, ALWAYS glad to help my friend. Ordered five more online from AutoZone.com and they are already on the way here. As said before, will change out with every oil change. Keeping the engine clean both outside (see my profile) and inside. Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Verell, MANY thanks my friend. Been keeping an eye on her and all seems fine. Of course an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. MANY thanks again. BTW, we really need to arrange a get together at my place in July for all "local" folks. Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Steven, Any time after I get my 308 on the road I'll be happy to help you change that distributor oil seal. Probably less time than the oil change took... |

Thanks, for the great heads-up on the air filter. I will be heading to the nearest Pep Boys or Autozone tomorrow. |

Verell, Many thanks. Alas my memory leaves much to be desired at times. BTW, the very slight oil leak seems to have been reduced to almost nil since oil change. Strange... Not that i mind :-) Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Tom, Thanks for the info! The STP i mentioned might be a (very) few millimeters too long in length, though hard to tell for sure. Basically the fit is snug and "air tight". i'd call it perfect as snug beats being loose ANY day of the week. Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Steven, I did the same thing at Autozone. Opened at least 30 boxes looking for an air filter for my 3.2qv Mondial. I found that the STP SA8548, fits perfectly. I think mine cost more like $10. Mike Huber |

Fram web site will cross-reference you from SA3901 to Fram CA3901. I then went to the Baldwin filter site and cross-referenced both the SA and CA number to Baldwin PA2163. Baldwin site offers the following information: PART NUMBER: PA2163 Descriptions : Microlite Panel Air Element Fits : Dodge Light-Duty Trucks; Jeep Briarwood, Cherokee Replaces : AMC 8953004383; Chrysler 53004383 Size : 13 9/16 x 6 3/4 x 1 19/32(344.5 x 171.5 x 40.5) Using the K&N web site a quick check of the above dimensions vs. the K&N 33-2518 (which is the correct K&N filter for a QV) confirms that although not an exact match it should fit.

Mike, Took me A LOT of hunting to find it online (and i consider myself extremely web savvy). On AutoZone.com it is listed as NONE and NONE (sad but true). Therefore you need to use their search engine in a VERY unique way :-) You can call them at (800) 288-6966 :-) Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Does anyone here have a cross reference as to what other cars those are used on? All the online sources want the make and year of the car it goes on (and they don't list Ferrari!) |

Jeff, Thanks for chiming in. At $5 each it seems like a no-brainer. MANY thanks for including one with the car. Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin

Bruno, Basically it fits snug and perfect. Not sure what good a pic will do as it looks like the typical paper-type air filter. At $5 each i'll just change her with each oil change. Seems to be made well and works fine. Hi Everyone, This filter came as an extra with the 1985 308GTS QV (from Jeff Edison). It is a STP SA3901 (Deutsch A731) air filter and i found it at Pep Boys for $5! Fits GREAT and seems to work well too. So i ordered five more :-) Enjoy the Drive, Steven R. Rochlin
